Each year Confetti Kids, Inc. is host to several fun and kid-friendly annual events. They include:
Krewe of Confetti Kids Mardi Gras Parade
A very special, very Algiers Point parade! Decorate a bike, wagon or stroller, wear a costume and march along or watch the Parade from your porch! We wind through our neighborhood following a brass band, and end with a party with king cake, lemonade and champagne. Open to all of New Orleans. This parade is presented by Confetti Kids, Inc. and the Algiers Point Association.
Friendship Day Parade & Potluck
A lively kids parade through the Algiers Point neighborhood, which begins at Larkin Park and ends at Confetti Park. Kids and their families decorate bicycles, tricycles, strollers and wagons. This event takes place on Friendship Day, which is an annual street party put on by the Algiers Irish Rebels and Friendship Club on the corner of Olivier and Patterson Streets. Friendship Day usually falls on the Sunday preceding the Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Parade. Open to all of New Orleans.
Easter Egg Hunt
Come hunt for eggs and fill your basket with goodies! The Easter Egg Hunt is always held in the afternoon on a Sunday before Easter weekend. Open to all of New Orleans.
Baby Bull Run
We celebrate San Fermin en Nueva Orleans on the Westbank of the river, in Confetti Kids style, with the adorable Baby Bull Run. Such summertime fun!
Spooktacular Halloween Party
Kids of all ages come together in costume for some Halloween fun. This fair-style event has games, a costume contest and more! Open to all of New Orleans.
Candy Land Ball & Fundraiser
A magical costume dance party set inside Candy Land, with a banquet spread featuring everything a child dreams of—marshmallows, chocolates, rainbow-colored platters of sugar stuffs. With dance music provided by DJ Cupcakes, kids activities, food, adult drinks and a silent auction, the entire family will be entertained. This is Confetti Kids’ biggest annual fundraiser. Open to all of New Orleans.
Feel the holiday cheer when Confetti Kids presents special holiday events in December. Our letters to Santa writing workshop is usually held in conjunction with Hubbell Library’s Christmas activities, and Christmas caroling in the neighborhood is popular with young and old. Open to all of New Orleans.
