  • Saturday, January 13, 2018 – 7-10 p.m. – Patron Party: A Whole LOT of Love- A Benefit for a New Park in Old AlgiersThe Krewe of Confetti Kids invites you to an evening of entertainment, live music by the Confetti Kids Quartet and by pianist Gary Mouton, an amazing silent auction, and delicious Tavolino libations at the home of Bobby and Council Member-Elect Kristin Palmer, with all proceeds benefiting “The Lot!” ❤️ Come show your love and help support the building of the new park in Old Algiers, on the corner of Homer and Elmira! ❤️ Red and/or pink attire is encouraged!   • Saturday, January 20, 2018 – 11:30 a.m. – Mardi Gras Parade

    The Algiers Point Association presents the fifth annual Krewe of Confetti Kids Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Parade rolls at 11:30 a.m.This is a walking parade where everyone is welcome to join in the marching fun…. There will be musicians and other joyous spectacles. Decorate a bike, wagon, cart or stroller, wear a costume, dress your dog in costume and march along or watch the parade from your porch!**** Lineup begins at 10:30 a.m. in Confetti Park (corner of Pelican and Verret) stretching up the 300 and 400 block of Verret St.
    **** Parade Rolls at 11:30 a.m.At 10:45am, we will have the fabulous Valerie Sassyfras warming us up for our parade festivites with her wonderful songs and fantastic musical abilities! Make sure to come early!ROUTE: The parade will travel down Verret St.; turn left onto Opelousas; turn left onto Belleville St.; then left onto Pelican, to end at Confetti Park.  VIEW ROUTEDancing Man 504 will serve as Grand Marshal, and there will be a brass band leading the way!

    Please join us for king cake, coffee, and lemonade at Confetti Park after the parade! There will also be snoballs from Kona Ice!
